This book was so well loved by my kids that even though we would only pull it out to read it during the holiday season, the binding is falling apart. I will forever cherish the evenings we spent reading these stories and I hope to be able to read them to grandkids some day.
Santa Claus is Coming to Town is a perfect example of a folktale. The actual character of Santa Claus isn't real but it is a tradition of gifts that is passed down from generation to generation.
The plot is very engaging. The characters are introdced with spunk and bolness and the ending keeps the reader feeling good and excited because Sam and Mike made good choices.

I read my children this book every Christmas season. It is a family tradition.
