Pretty good book. My professor used it to present the information in a way I understood.
Mankiw get it through your head Economics is NOT a science, the perpetuation of this myth is one of the greatest lies of our times. "Economics as Science" is an idea like "The Divine Right of Kings", that will be recognized in posterity as a propagandic tool to preserve the status quo. Economics cannot be studied in isolation of politics -even though that is the current zeitgeist. The approach of John Kenneth Galbraith was much more sensible and accurate than the current fad of economists show more today who which to obscure everything with towering and sophisticated mathematics but yet whose ultimate foundations are based on flimsy assumptions. show less
Mankiw's the man for undergraduate Intermediate Macro. Even the author of a competing textbook has said "Mankiw is the master of exposition."
