'Regine' has been reprinted as 'Plantation Heat' by Carroll & Graf (1994). 'Tha Pangs of Venus' was published in 1969 by Brandon House. The Star edition of 'Regine, or Love in the Antilles, by 'E.K.', is paired with 'The Pangs of Venus', an anonymous work sometimes also known as 'The Memoirs of Count Alexis'. Regine is a fairly standard tale of the erotic awakening of a girl being brought up in the Antilles, although it is well written and reasonably original, at least in the first part. It show more later adopts some of the formulas typical of the genre, including adventures with rough (and well-endowed) pirates. 'The Pangs of Venus' describes the romps of Count Alexis with a steady stream of very willing young ladies, often with a callipygous endowment of the backside which attracts the Count's punitive attentions. Well written, and a minor classic in the genre. show less
