It was great getting to know the one who helped to bring such joy to my childhood. I have always loved Disney and I'm glad I picked this one up. It could have been a very quick read but I wanted to take my time and enjoy the stories and pictures. I had tears in my eyes several times. I would most definitely recommend.

Dali & Disney: Destino is a beautiful glimpse into the decades long friendship and partnership between Salvador Dali and Walt Disney. The book examines their collaboration on several projects, including the short film Destino, which did not come to fruition until Roy Disney rediscovered the project near the end of the 20th century. Dali and Disney began collaboration on the project in the 1940's, but the project was put on hold for many years. It wasn't until after Disney and Dali's deaths show more that the film once again gained momentum. Viewers can see evidence of their partnership in features like Alice and Wonderland and Fantasia. This book contains full color images of Dali's work, never before seen frames and stills from Destino, and letters between Disney and Dali.

I would recommend this book to both Disney fans and fans of Dali's artwork. It is an interesting read and makes a great addition to any collection. show less
