**** SPOILER ALERT ****
Morin is back again with "Lair Of The Dog: Mission 15 ( Black Ocean, Mercy For Hire )" the latest installment of the adventures of Esper and Krew.
Morin, as usual, does rich world building, we get to see Kubu's homeworld and his people. We, the readers, have been privileged to watch Kubu grow and mature as a character from the equivalent of a puppy, to what he is now in this book. A fully mature adult that does what he needs to, to protect those he loves.
Tiffany's show more maturation has continued and she steps up into the breech when Don Rucker's secret weapon turns up.
I am going to devour the next volume in the series. While I highly recommend this tale since it can stand on it's own, I strongly encourage you, my fellow reader, to go back and start at the beginning of the series before reading this story. Doing so will deepen your enjoyment of this story.
In the interest of transparency: I was given a review copy of this book and I am voluntarily sharing this review.

The series bills itself as a bit of a Firefly adventure and I can see that, but by the time this first series of missions ends it's significantly more developed than that show (and movie) ever were. The world building is rich and varied. The characters are all breathing and vibrant. It's a joy to spend time here.
**** SPOILER ALERT ****
Normally I don't mention the cover of a book, but I'm making an exception for "Walk Like A Magician ( Black Ocean ): Mercy For Hire Mission 6". The title is a play on the classic song 'Walk Like An Egyptian" and the cover artist riffed on the Beattle's cover of the "Abbey Road" album. This was just a teaser to the fun that Morin held in store for we readers.
Well DONE! The author, as per usual does a superb job of world building and character development of Esper and show more krew as well as new team members and new baddies. I highly recommend this entertaining page turner. Morin introduces us to the "Empty Nest" and the Lonestars and demonstrates an interesting method to restore Esper's use of magic.

**** SPOILER ALERT ****
Morin does it again. With "House Of The Orion Sun: Black Ocean: Mercy for Hire Mission 3" the author delivers a delightfully entertaining tale while exploring a bit of Esper's darker side as she tries to rescue a friend.
Morin continues to excellently world build, hard not to when there are multiple worlds in each volume, and not a cookie cutter in sight! The character development of bit characters is done as deftly as it is for the protagonist characters. Kubu show more continues his maturation.
As with the other volumes in this series I devoured the romp of a book in one sitting and I would reccomend this book! I loved the title's allusion to a popular song from the 1960's.
