Vicious & Victorious is a heart-wrenching story about a child who has to grow up way before it's time. This story isn't glamorous, it isn't about living the high life; it is a gritty and dark tale of an all too real subject, and I dare you to read it without feeling some type of way. I actually wanted to jump in the book and whip someone's behind a couple of times.

The characters are "in your face" believable, the plot moves along quickly, and the book itself is addictive; you find yourself show more drawn in quickly, and held captivated. It was compelling, and I was so absorbed in the book, I didn't hear them calling my name at the office. To me, those are the earmarks of a good book; to hold your attention to the point where you get lost in it.

It's not a long, "settle in for the night book; it's the perfect size for reading in the waiting room at the doctor's office, on your lunch break, or on the bus / train ride home from work. I finished it in an hour, (only because I had to take a call).

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a short, quick "in your face" read that will have you on the edge of your seat. show less
