Written in 1996, published 1997, this was an award winning X-Files novel that has stood the test of time and still remains one of the best examples of fan fiction. A stand out creation with finely detailed cases, well rounded characters. Set just after Terma and diverging from canon at that point this is a well loved example of what fandom makes possible.
This is the novel with the line where Alex says to Mulder: "Stop looking at me like you're about to say your name is Inigo Montoya."
This show more was the day after he tells Mulder he killed his father. I had never, at that point, heard of Princess Bride but followed the bread crumb and did a search and watched the movie and loved it. It is connections like that...one thing leading to another...that I love about reading. Whole new worlds from a single word or name. show less
