The best kind of slow burn!
I am one of those people who marked their colanders for when this would come out. Then when it finally happened, I had to reread the first two books to get myself back in the mind set to fall in love with Twitch and his family all over again. This was so a punch to the gut but so worth it. So, from show more one reader to the next here is an ice pack go read this like NOW. It can not be read as a stand alone so do yourself a favor and go purchase, barrow or listen to the other two books first. This was such a slow burn that is worth all the hurt that you will experience. All the feels rushed at me at once and left me with no sleep. Work who needs it? Well I do but hey. Their story started many moons ago at the age of eight when she took care of a wee boy in the neighbor’s back yard who was hurt and hiding, she fixed him up with a band aid. It is a messy story with blood sweat and tears but it is their story and if you are a die-hard fan like I am it will be your story.
Twitch was a man of good intentions, stitched together with barbed wire and fueled by raw fury.
The King Pin Twitch presumed dead and his Queen left to raise their son alone. This story is like a beautiful phoenix rising from the ashes. Twitch has been watching and plotting from the shadows on how he can claim his place with his family and friends. Will it be easy? Hell, no if you know Lexi then you know she will make him work hard to claim her this time as he did the first time and you will be clawing your way back with them. I think Belle Aurora you hands down out did yourself with this book. I do not know if there is any book that I have read in 2019 that is more gut wrenching yet enjoyable as this was for me. That being said I want to let everyone know that if all else fails for you in 2019 and the coming new year, if you haven’t read this series you are completely missing out. I have suggested this to so many of my friends that it is not even funny. Some look at me like I am crazy and some give me a high five and become die hard fans of Twitch and Lexi and it is worth every laugh smile and dirty look. I hope this series leaves you all Raw and exposed. show less

THIS BOOK WAS HILARIOUS!!!
I was torn between a 1 star review, and a 5 star review. If this book was meant to be as it read, a parody, honestly only the sky would be the limit.
But alas it wasn't and therefore, you got served! :D
Let's start with Lexi shall we? She is a social care worker, and that seems to be a superpower, because it is enough to portray her amazing selflessness, and allows her to jump to some pretty awesome conclusions in life. Like this:
“George, my bipolar neighbor, show more would never lay a hand on me. The guy loves me! Being a caseworker, the first time we spoke, I picked up on his behavior right away.”
Poor George....and what else???
“I have told George that I worked with a lot of people who suffered mental illness, and if he felt a panic attack coming on that I would be there for him....” ain't she a saint? Awwww, and so completely clueless about bipolarity for someone who works with mental illness.
But hold your horses folks! The show isn't over yet! She gets attacked by a would-be rapist in front of her house, and saved by her stalker. Her caseworker superpowers obviously stretch further to give her superhuman hearing as this occurs: “Eventually, I hear soft pings hit the ground and realize my attacker has lost some teeth."
You gotta admit, that's something else right there.
Does she call the police? You know - as a social worker, who deals with victims on a daily basis, as well as mental illness of course, she knows how important it is to have someone like that off the streets. Nope. Her savior and stalker says “It's taken care off” and she shrugs.
Her stalker is a man by the name of Twitch, colored pretty with an array of gang tatts, and wears a signature black hoodie, whilst engaging in some light afternoon stalking. And yet again, here we see the evidence of the awesome reasoning superpowers of being a caseworker.
“I always see him on the street, wearing the same clothes. My caseworker brain automatically assumes he's homeless.” -seems legit.
“I know that everyone is different (you don't say), but what I am sure about Twitch is that he's a sociopath.” - I agree, especially taking in account one of characteristics of sociopathic behavior being unable to empathize with the pain of others. Just like he didn't, when he saved her ass from getting raped and all that jazz.
Conclusion...she's real smart and stuff.
In the aftermath of her attack she's left to deal with being “Blue, a little like a two dollar ho, and still shaken from last night's attack.” -understandable, I guess. So she cheers herself up by singing Ginuwine's hit track Pony. You know it?
If your horny, Let's do it
Ride it, My Pony
My saddle's waiting
Come and jump on it …. yup trauma does weird shit to people.
Anyhoo – the sociopath homeless stalker keeps breaking into her apartment to pant at her neck like a mastiff while she sleeps, and the inevitable sex scene happens. Now I've heard of tantric sex, but this is impressive on a whole new level, as it helps her deal with herself and the world around her.
“..he pushes the tip of his thumb into my back entrance...and I know what this is. This is Twitch asserting his role.” LMFAO ass-erting, oh dear god, couldn't make this shit up even if I tried.
Apparently for reaching the inner equilibrium in one's life, you require nothing but a finger up your ass. Quick, somebody call the monks! They've been doing it wrong all these years!!!
Did I mention his pierced cock?
That does things to her like: “...having my G-spot tickled...” - oh,for the love of all things holey. I mean, I can relate to that, witch girl doesn't like to have her G-spot tickled? And of course, never being the one to shy away from using her caseworker deduction techniques, Lexi chooses to add to her description of Twitch as being so much more then a homeless sociopath as she provides us with a deeper insight behind the chosen ornamentation of his phallus. “I think it takes a selfless man to pierce his cock just for the pleasure of women” - Just how deep is that? Ghandi, pack your shit, and get the hell out, we got a new player in town.
“He rocks into me, and the connection – the closeness – feels almost intimate.” -strange how having sex would do that, really.
Then there is the very different orgasm: “...he thrusts so hard, so deeply into me, that it feels like I am bouncing on a trampoline.”
Alrighty then. Guess she did get to ride the Pony after all.
After the sex that is clearly transcends this plane of existence, we have Lexi struggling to find out just who Twitch really is. Even when he introduces himself as a co-owner of a multimillion plastics factory, she doesn't get it. She's been to his office, and didn't get it. She didn't use her mad caseworker skills to I dunno....google it. She would have us think that he is using his gangsta self, with his gangsta tattoos, to sell Tupperware in some back alley, surrounded by his homies. I know..thug life be hard, y'all.
If I listed every single nugget that made me crack up reading this, I would soon run out of internet. Still tho i want to take this opportunity to say thank you to everybody who has taken the time to recommend this unique masterpiece to me. I can't remember the last time i have laughed so hard while reading a book. xD show less

Raw and Beautiful or Raw and Brutal Readers’ choice. I like it.
Okay, so I wrote a really sad two-line review for this book and it is really sad and it needs to be redone. This is brilliantly brutal and beautiful depending on how you read it. My thoughts are below. Holy Crap this book killed me. I have read it for the second time because I wanted to continue the series this year and it owns a part of my soul. I absolutely loved this dark stalker romance from the bottom of my heart and show more loved the way Twitch and Lexi came to be. This story was sexy, provocative, dark, suspenseful and so thrilling. It is one of the Indy stories I will never forget! It makes me want to find more of this genre and just get lost in it for months.
This story was absolutely incredible. Twitch was dark and dirty and knew that Lexi would be his. I was absolutely floored by the writing and the emotion it evoked. I had my heart in my throat the entire time reading and could not stop rooting for them. But that ending? I was inconsolable for weeks. But I cannot lie and say it was not brilliantly written. I want to sit down with the author and give her a high five and pick her brain. God that sounds bad doesn’t it?
But again - that ending? It was probably the mic drop of the century. This story was pure emotions from the first page. I felt the fear, suspense, anxiety and sorrow. After the post of this review I should be honest I have already read book two and it is amazing. If this is on your reading pile, I suggest picking it up now. show less

Belle Aurora left us breathless and wanting to throw our kindles at her at the end of RAW (...or at least I did) I reread Raw earlier this year and was left with a big hole in my heart for the brutal honesty and beautiful pain that is Raw. If you haven’t read Raw STOP RIGHT HERE and GO GET IT! You won’t be sorry.
As soon as I started this book I had to stop and ask myself, "Who the f@@k is Alejandra?" Needless to say, I did not read the blurb like a normal human because I like to feel show more the story as it comes at me. However, I was really expecting more Twitch and Lexi...and there is some, but this book is all about (Ana) Alejandra (Castillo) Gambino and Julius Carter with a splash of Ling-Ling Nguyen.
Ana comes from a mob family that was looking to merge with an Italian mob family, so as the eldest daughter of Eduardo Castillo, she is arranged (Yes, I said arranged) to marry, Dino Gambino, the eldest son of Vito Gambino. She was the sweetest, most beautiful young lady and at the age of eighteen, she married Dino. He is such a loving gentleman, who dotes on Ana every chance he can. However, once they get married everything changes. When Ana doesn't fall in love with Dino as fast as he fell for her, he decides to beat the love into her. In Dino's mind submission is love and humiliation is punishment when Ana doesn't bend at his whim. He is cruel and sadistic and I could not turn the pages fast enough to see if he meets a brutal end.
When Raul, Ana's brother-in-law and ex-boyfriend, goes missing, Julius Carter and his assistant Ling-Ling Nguyen are called in as mob enforcers...this job has Julius as judge and executioner. However, after acting as a witness, Ana backstabs Julius by lying and making him look like a fool in front of his peers. His job then turns into him finding Ana and bringing her back to be judged.
Meanwhile, Twitch is going all over the United States to eliminate his obstacles that are keeping him from Lexi and his five year old son, AJ. Five years is way too long to go without those that you love more than yourself. Nothing will stop Twitch from achieving his goal, consequences be damned. I loved that this was weaved in to the Ana and Julius story because it kept me connected to all the characters even more.
Belle Aurora wrote this book so you know that this story will not unfold as you think it will. The more I got into this book, the more the webs spun together causing everyone and everything to connect in the craziest way. And then again, she left me NEEDING the next book in the worst way. I just hope that RAW: Rebirth will be just as crazy a ride as Dirty was. This is a Ride or Die kind of series and I am in it until the end. All three parts are out and on Kindle Unlimited so if you are a member pick this up and get pulled in like I did. show less
