I read this book in one sitting. Wow what a amazing book to read. Again, I just have to say my love of military books is a good one. However when I think of these types of books, I don't hardly ever think of the dogs fighting along side our military people. That is a shame. After reading this book and getting a really good idea of what these dogs do and the importance they play in helping our military forces win wars, I will always remember these dogs from now on. Also, when I thank our show more military people, I will also thank the dogs as well.

I thought that Mr. Ritland did a great job explaining his job of training dogs. He broke the training down into all the different areas of training from picking the right dog from birth to traits to look for, training in the field, and even retirement. Mr. Ritland would explain everything that he was doing with the dogs in a way that I got a good visual. Also, when I see there are pictures I usually go right to them right away. However reading this book that did not happen. That is because I was too busy reading everything before the pictures. This book would make the perfect gift for everyone. Trident K9 Warriors is top notch!

interesting and enjoyable book about the seal dogs and about military dogs in general but really just a skim across the surface regarding what these dogs can and do do.
I wish he had pit a little more time into talking about the training - hows and the skills the dogs are taught..
I liked hearing about the type of dogs they choose. The ones the average person would find hard to handle, but instead Seals look for one that are super driven. Also cool how they condition puppies. Worth a read.
Ex-Navy Seal Mike Ritland's book had some good information I can use for dog and future dogs. If you are a dog owner and want to focus on some specific sticking points, this is worth a listen.
