An adorable story about a boy who is scared of moving because he likes where he is now. He is content with how the family life is going where they are. He gets upset when the movers come to take their stuff. Little does he know, he is going to like the move! He makes new friends and enjoys Little Rock. I love that the theme is sometimes things are better than you expect them to be. The use of rhyming really got me interested in the book, I even started to sing some of the phrases in my head.
Uh-oh Cleo by Jessica Harper was a cute story about a girl who has to get stitches. I liked this one because Cleo, the main character, has a great imagination. She tells the story in a cute, funny way and she puts in details about how she talks to her dolls and how she gets along with her brother and sister and the rest of the family. There weren’t a lot of illustrations, just black and white drawings, but they did go along with the story and helped you to picture Cleo and her family.
This was a clever and witty "cookbook." Each recipe comes with a hilarious story. I'd really like to be friends with Jessica Harper, she is a riot!

Loved the book, it was LOL funny!
Everyone has some indelibly embarassing moments from childhood and for Cleo that will include getting carsick and throwing up on neighbor Mrs. Kenly's fur coat. Author Jessica Harper is in tune with the sharpness of children's feelings in the aftermath of embarassment. Part of the "Uh-oh, Cleo" series which apparently highlights typical childhood disasters as they happen to Cleo.
