Storm Warning is by far one of my favorite YA books ever. E.Lee and C.Quinn are amazing authors separately, but together they are something else! This book blew me away and has me wanting more.
Storm Warning follows five main characters: Kyle, Ella Jane (aka EJ), Coop,Hayden, and Cami. Kyle and EJ are siblings, Coop is Kyle's best friend and Hayden and Cami are new to the bunch so to speak.
Five is a lot of different heads to show more be in, but it was done so well that it won't even bother you to switch back and forth. I love how it gave me the chance to really get to know each one of the characters. Almost to the point of knowing what was going through their minds even when we weren't in them.
Storm Warning touches on so many different aspects of being a teenager. You have Kyle who is getting to ready to head off to college, EJ who is looking forward to something changing this summer for her, she has a crush on Coop.. Who it turns out has a thing for her as well..
That's Kyle's little sister, man. Remember, your best friend? The one who'd kick your ass if he knew what was running through your mind right now? Oh yeah. Him.
As I am sure you are wondering since there is 2 girls and 3 boys, yes there is a somewhat triangle. But it works. It is not your typical over the top, full of angst, love triangle. It is real. Something that reminds you of being a teenager again. Have you ever wanted someone you can't have? Ever been afraid to let someone know how you feel? If so then you can relate. But this book is about more than that though.
In Storm Warning you see each and everyone of the characters grow. They are all trying to figure out who they are and some learn there is more to them than they originally thought. Cami and Hayden are from the other side of town, it might as well be a different country. Whereas Kyle,EJ, and Coop work for what they have, Cami and Hayden don't. But there is more behind the two of them. Cami isn't just some spoiled girl, while I will admit at first I wasn't a huge fan but I am sure she will continue to grow on me. Hayden.. well Hayden I didn't want to love him, but man I do. Once you get to know him you can not help but fall in love. EJ is probably my favorite character. With Hayden and Coop tied for second place. Those two boys make it hard to pick a team. I was TEAM Coop all the way before I read, but then I met Hayden.. All I can say is I love them both and it is so hard to pick because I feel like I am betraying the other when I pick one. They both are so great.
All it takes is one summer and everything changes. Lives are changed forever, fall in love, find yourself, and watch out for the storm. Storm Warning is not to be missed! I could not put this book down. I had to know what was going to happen next with each and every character. I am on pins and needles waiting for the next book. I don't re-read a lot of books but this one is one that will always be a re-read for me! It is that good! show less

Finding the words to describe how much I loved this book are going to be difficult, but I'll try.
It's no secret that I love everything I have read by Caisey Quinn but this book blew me away. In perfect Caisey Quinn fashion I was pulled into Van and Stella's story. It isn't a pretty one, but then again not all love stories are.
Van is an addict. Sex, drugs, and rock n roll. The whole shebang. He uses alcohol and whatever drugs he can get his hands on to take him away, to numb him from show more everything in his past, and when that doesn't work sex does. He's drowning in all of it. He's offered his last second chance. Go to the Second Chance rehab facility and clean up or lose his band.
Stella Jo wants something different out of life than running around and doing her mama's bidding. She just wants to feel something, to make a change. So instead of running back home to mama she takes a job at Second Chance Ranch Rehab.
I loved seeing Van and Stella's story unfold. It was messy, ugly, sad, and beautiful all at the same time. The hardest thing in life to understand sometimes is that life isn't always pretty, sometimes it's ugly. It makes you want to check out for awhile. To forget, to stop feeling anything but oblivion. This book helps remind us of that. However it also helps remind us that life is about more than one, two, or even three chances. Sometimes all it takes is having that one person in your corner to help you fight your battles, to help remind you that you don't have to do it alone.
This is one of my favorite Caisey Quinn books. She continues to amaze me with not just her writing ability but with her ability to take on something darker than she usually writes and to knock it out of the park!
If you want a simple, butterflies and roses romance story this isn't it. If you want something a little edgy, sexy, and that deals with struggles of the harder part of life. then this is for you.
Beautifully done!

I have loved Trace and Kylie since the beginning. One thing I have adored about this series is the fact that it focuses on Nashville and country music. After how Girl on Tour ended, I thought I was going to want to junk punch Trace in this one, but I didn't. If anything I just wanted to squeeze him!
Kylie has everything she has ever wanted.. well almost. She is out there singing her heart out, making music. Fulfilling her dreams. But she is still left empty. Within all her success something, show more someone is still missing. I can't say I blame her for being upset with Trace, but in the same breath I am so proud of him for getting the help he needed. I feel like these two just needed to communicate! Communication is key! I love Kylie Lou but man that girl is stubborn!!However I am glad to see the way Caisey handled their issues, I am so happy she didn't just gloss over everything. She made these two work through it, instead of pretending there was never a problem. That alone is why she is one of my favorite authors. She makes it authentic as possible.
I am sad to see these two go. I enjoyed their story. The ups, the downs, the high and the lows. Trace and Kylie's story teaches you that love does conquer all, but it is also work. You have to communicate. Beautiful ending to an amazing series! Once again well done Caisey Quinn. show less

To be honest, I had vowed no more “rock” chit-lit books for me! Well, good thing this isn’t rock ‘n’ roll! This is all country! I am not even sure where to start with this story. I have so many thoughts swirling in my head that they don’t really make much sense, well they wouldn’t to anyone except for me.
I am glad I took a chance on Kylie Ryan. I had my heart ripped out, sewn back in place, then ripped out again, multiple times; all the while, a smile on my face and teary eyes. show more Can you believe that? All at the same time! Thank you Caisey Quinn!
This is so much more than just a book about musicians on a tour bus falling in love, but resisting that love. This is a book that drags out the coming of two people in perfect harmony. I would have been disappointed had things worked out sooner or even started up sooner! There is perfect balance in this story to keep you from putting it down!
I really loved that all of the issues and drama in this story weren’t fixed right away, if at all… Not going to spoil any of the story by telling you about that! I liked that things were drug out in such a way I found myself shaking my head wanting to bitch-slap someone!
Kylie and Trace have the perfect love-dislike relationship that borders on relatable on some levels. I think that is what makes this book so good. It’s not some over-the-top, unbelievable story. It’s just two down-home country singers trying to be successful without losing themselves on the journey, but in the meantime finding each other and how well they COULD compliment one another if they could just get over themselves!
As I type out this review, I am preparing to read the sequel to this book… Aren’t you jealous? All I can tell you is that if you haven’t read this book, you are missing out! I suggest you read it! You will not be disappointed! show less
