This was a unique and interesting book with a perspective I've not encountered before. BPD is devastating to the sufferer and from what I read and hear, for those who have to deal with the person or is in a relationship ( romantic or otherwise ).

What I found unusual was that despite the author being either a psychologist or social worker herself, she does not really advocate a two pronged method of healing, which is going to a mental health clinic religiously and to develop a deep spiritual show more life. I was always under the impression that the Lord can and does heal all manner of illnesses, but He also expects you to seek medical attention as well.

If I had a schizophrenic child, I would pray my heart out that things will improve, but he/she must remain compliant with anti-psychotic meds, for this reason I could not give the book 5 stars.

Very, very short, it delineates a Biblical counseling approach to borderline personality disorder (BPD). Even if short, it is useful if you have BPD, or knows someone who have, and is wondering how a Biblical counselor would approach it; also if you suspect someone has it. But it is not a guide to get rid of it; one still need a team of helpers.
