This was the best book of the series so far.

I fell in love with Cora immediately. I liked her spunk and the way she didn't take any crap off men. My love of her soured though later in the book. I don't want to give anything away so I'll just say that I think she went too far with her threats when she didn't have to. She also ran hot and cold which annoyed me.

I have always liked Devon even though he was an English knight. He has always been decent to the Scottish people.

When he is swept show more overboard in a storm at sea, he meets Cora who he immediately thinks is beautiful. She has been marooned on an island for years and Devon wants to help her get home to Scotland.

I am starting to really like the characters in this series and enjoy when someone from a previous book shows up in the current book. I look forward to the next book and hope I'll see some of the previous characters. show less
