The Swimming Strokes Book: 82 Easy Exercises For Learning How To Swim The Four Basic Swimming Strokes by Mark Young
In 2017, I learnt how to swim for the first time as an adult.
It was a terrifying process. My brain and body could not coordinate and work together to learn quickly enough. This book provided bits of tips that really helped.
The structure of the book was very user friendly to me, simply because I am a visual learner. The information in this book was laid out in formats that matched my learning assimilation and retention style, i.e
1. Information box-like formats in grayscale, colours distract show more me.
2. Instructions with images in box-shaped formats, with text wrapped around the image.
3. Isolated images for each manoeuvre described.
