Richard Martin's illustrations are seen all over the world through his work as a stamp designer for countries from Azerbaijan to Zambia. His finely detailed acrylic paintings have also shown up on book, video and software jackets, magazine covers, posters and greeting cards.
Mr. Martin has a BFA in Illustration from The School of Visual Arts and an MA and MFA in Computer Graphics and Graphic Design from The New York Institute of Technology. He has taught Drawing, Painting, Airbrush, 2D Design, 3D Design, Book Design and Sculpture at Nassau Community College, Gibbs College, Middlesex County College and The New York Institute of Technology in New York. Currently he is the art teacher at Barringer High School in Newark, NJ, one of the most beautiful cities on the East Coast.
Outside of illustration and its history, his other interests include classical music, silent films, comic books and stereo views. He lives with his wife, daughter, two cats and a few thousand books in Central New Jersey. - Places of residence
