The first few years of Sherman's Lagoon were delightful and fresh, with an interesting environment and a lot of humor based on trying to see the world through a shark's point of view. Like many syndicated comics, though, it is beginning to lose its uniqueness and to simply cycle through variations of the original jokes that made it unique. This is not to say that this book isn't worth reading. It's a pleasant, undemanding comic strip book that is as soothing in it's familiarity as a favorite show more sweater. One hopes that Toomey will find new comic directions, but in the meantime, there's something to be said for favorite sweaters.

I have never read this comic strip before and its....fine. Its better than a lot of the legacy strips being published, but it falls a little short of being the sort of comic that I would seek out.
C'est une bd fantastique! Tant par son dessin rond et chaleureux que par ses gags très amusants et souvent d'humour noir, cette bd vous fera vous plier de rire. Pas de répétition, pas de vu et revu, tout est bien vous dis-je.
I simply adore Sherman. He is so simple, clueless and pure and I have to laugh on every page.
