Originally I picked this book up as I thought it was about the human-horse bond in the tradition of Monty Roberts. Its actually more about Adam’s struggle to come to terms with and accept his homosexuality.
Its been said that when Heath Ledger first read the script for Brokeback Mountain, he told his mate Adam Sutton that it sounded an awful lot like him. So this book is more about Adam's journey of denial, torment, courage and ultimately, acceptance. Its told with unflinching honesty and show more is a testament to the love & support of those close around him.
