About the Author

Marie Carrire is the Director of the Canadian Literature Centre/Centre de littrature canadienne and teaches French and Comparative Literature at the University of Alberta. Her research focuses on contemporary women's writing and the theory and history of feminism. She lives in Edmonton. Patricia show more Demers is Distinguished University Professor in the Department of English and Film Studies at the University of Alberta and has received numerous awards for her research and teaching. The author or editor of seventeen books and over fifty articles, Patricia Demers has served in senior positions with SSHRC and the Royal Society of Canada. She lives in Edmonton. show less
