"None of us can ever really grasp the inner workings of this world. When we find our places in it, we don't try to dismantle things."

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I like this one. Good writing and solid storytelling. The author gives a warning in the beginning that it's dark and she is definitely right. But knowing that ahead of time, it was easier to understand some of the dark turns the story took. I like getting to know the biker club and how everyone fit. I liked Cliff's show more education for living on the outside and his beginning with Lucy. I like that the story slowly unraveled so you knew both the past and what happened and how it affect their current lives.

Olivia was okay - funny and no-none sense. I like that she wasn't whiny and she was really laid back about wanting to get her own world set before she got involved with others. I don't blame her for being cautious. It was interesting. I'm glad I started the series even if I don't think I'll continue it.

Sabella, a struggling tattoo artist, dreams of a life of art that helps people cope with life issues they are dealing with. After her messy divorce she found herself in a small town working for her best friend at her tattoo shop. Her dreams of facilitating art that heals will only be possible with the help of Benton, a social worker that ended in a night of hurt feelings. Benton is always helping everyone else and never himself, so he is more than happy to help Sabella with her program. As show more Sabella and Benton work relationship grows so does their personal relationship.

“Tattooed Heart” by Elizabeth Barone is a great miscommunication trope book. I liked reading and was very sweet with the relationship, even the ups and downs. I waited patiently for their relationship in the book to work because I knew they are perfect for each other once they get over the miscommunication. The cover is also so beautiful. 4 out of 5 stars.

Very jumpy start to the book. But it settled down and really delved into the subject matter. The book uses the background of a music group to bring forward the romance. I found the music aspects interesting. But the romance lacked some depth. I never felt empathy for the main character Jett. Jett comes across as selfish. Griffin was more a person than Koty or Jett. I felt Jett needed to get some therapy to deal with her past. But overall, a good story. It just needs more depth for the show more characters. show less

This is an angsty, dramatic story. I really feel bad for Koty, I like him and think he deserved to be treated better. Jett is an immature mess, until the tragedy, then she grows up a lot. The storyline is engrossing and entertaining. The characters are intriguing, they are all different in temperament and maturity
