This book is a graphic novel narrative told from the perspective of a young girl on the Oregon Trail as we follow her journey across the United States with her family.
This book is a great reluctant-reader friendly book that can get children interested in this historical topic from the narrative perspective.

1.I would recommend this book to be read during a history unit on the Oregon trail.
2.This book goes through a narrative of what it was like to travel west during the days where the Oregon trail was a very real thing. It demonstrates the hardships of the trail emotionally and physically. It demonstrates what it was like really well and it is in graphic novel form so it is more fun.
3.I definitely use this book in my classroom if I am teaching about the Oregon trail. This book also has a lot of show more landmarks that are very popular and that some kids may know so it will make the kids want to read it more. show less
