Fifteen-year-old Lisa Rives becomes the editor of the high school newspaper even though she is not fond of it, she does it for her best friend, Preethy, and because she wants to know the truth. Not just the truth of the students at her high school, but also report on the truth of a larger world, and when she learns about the impending execution of a local murderer, she is determined to cover it despite the resistance of the school's vice principal.
I would recommend this book to my older show more students because it is a fast, easy chapter book read, but it also is fun and interesting. I could not really conncect this to instruction, but if a student is wanting to read after an exam or something then this could be the book for them. It is also about an "outcast" student, so that could help other students relate to Lisa. show less
