Personally, I like poetry I don't need to research to understand. I admit I will never keep up with the poetry world to ever be able to follow the threads of what is going on in poetry,

That said, I did have a favorite poem in this book. It does not have a show more note at the end. It is After the Funeral, in which an adult son at his father's funeral worries if his father's schizophrenia is lurking in himself or in his daughter. It is powerful and full of emotion and feeling--and there is no need for a note and research to make it make sense. show less
