Rudy Chiappini

An essential addition to anyone's art library. Many good colour reproductions, (and 4 photographs of the artist at the back). I found the text highly opinionated, but occasionally useful, describing the paintings and interpretations of the pictures. There was a bullet point biography at the back of the book, but the text didn't say much about Basquiat himself (I learned more about the artist form the book "Widow Basquiat A Memoir").

Con la mostra dedicata a Francis Bacon, geniale interprete dell'inquietitudine del nostro tempo, Milano si inserisce in un percorso di esposizioni internazionali che hanno segnato la vita culturale di città come Parigi, San Francisco.
La prima esposizione postuma fu ospitata nel 1993 al Museo d'arte moderna di Lugano, a cura di Rudy Chiappini, l'autorevole studioso che ha apposto la sua firma anche a questa mostra a Palazzo Reale.
