Summary: Old McDonald Had a Farm is a book about a farmer and all the animals on his farm. This book helps children learn the animals and the noises they make.

Personal Reaction: I love this book. I think it is so cute. I can remember it from when I was little. I think I like it so much is because I grew up on a farm so I was always familiar with the animals that were on the ideal farm.

Classroom Extension Ideas:
1. Let the kids read/sing along while you read the book. They will love saying show more what animal it is and making the noise of the animal.
2. Use this book for a lesson on animals with younger children.

This book is great for kids kindergarten to second grade. It teaches the kids the different animals and the noises each animal makes. I would read this book when doing a lesson on animals.
"How many farmyard noises can you think of? Read and sing along as Old MacDonald visits all the animals on his farm. " -- GoodReads
This is a decent book for young young children. Usually ready to. There are pictures.
