A comprehensive history of the Bering Sea and its people, its contribution to northern history in general, and the effects of greed by those who sought to profit from the North.
OK for what it is, but it's only the start of a story. A story we get dumped into, without any explanation at all of the world it takes place in. Not sure if I will continue with later books in the story or not.
A very basic history of Alaska, mostly focused on economic issues.
