When the Fairy Code Book containing all of Sugar Valley's important secrets, history, and recipes goes missing, a frantic Raina, the Gummy Fairy, enlists the Candy Fairies to help her find the book before it ends up in the wrong hands. This is a cute book that could help students that are transitioning to chapter books.
Classroom:
Since this book has a candy component, the students could bring in some of their favorite candies to combine with one another for their own recipe.
Princess Tiana is almost ready for the grand opening of her restaurant in New Orleans, Tiana's Palace. A famous food critic is even coming for the big day. Then one thing after another goes wrong on opening day leaving Tiana to wonder if she will be able to fix everything in time. A very likable and enjoyable children's book featuring a cast of endearing characters including Tiana's husband, Prince Naveen; alligator friend and trumpet player, Louis; best friend, Charlotte; and Tiana's show more mother. Not to mention the lovely and gracious Tiana herself. It's nice to see Tiana's family and friends there for her and pulling together to help her out when all goes wrong. Beautiful illustrations, too. show less
Loved the movie! Loved the book. What a great continuation from the movie. It started from where the movie left off with a cute ending. I would recommend for all the little princess fans.
O and Daddy have been reading this series. O enjoys them, Daddy says they are nowhere near as good as the Fairy Bell Sister series.
