About the Author
Khaled Mattawa is the author of four previous poetry collections, including Tocqueville, two books of criticism, and many books of translation from the Arabic, including works by Adonis, Saadi Youssef, and many others. Mattawa is a MacArthur Fellow and teaches at the University of Michigan.
