I really felt for Jasmine with what when down in DC and how it left her lost for what her future holds, but soo glad she literally ran into Elias as they are both feeling lost. Whilst finding what they really want in life we get some good laughs and see that it's never too late to start fresh or go back to what you loved. I can't wait to see who the lucky ones are to get matched with Jasmines sisters!.

I'm really enjoying this series by Nan Reinhardt. The books are romances but they all address serious issues. Book 3 looks at grief after the death of a spouse and making a decision to live your life despite your grief.
Cam is in the Army reserves and is always happy after a deployment to get back to his large family in River's Edge. He's making a dower chest for his mother for Christmas and he needs someone to paint some folk-art pictures on the completed chest. He sees some sketches made by show more an artist who is currently living with her aunts. When Cam asks Harper if she will do the painting, she totally refuses and won't even talk to him. Harper isn't really interested in getting to know Cam or anyone else in town. Her husband had died in Afghanistan two years earlier and she is still grieving him to the point that she just wants to be left alone. Cam is interested in her as an artist and as a woman so he makes it his goal to help her learn to live life again and remind her of what she's been missing. Will Cam and the people of River's Edge be successful in convincing Harper to enjoy life again and will the sparks between them result in a happily ever after?
I really enjoyed both of the main characters. Cam was always so happy with life and really wanted to help Harper even if they were never more than friends. Harper and her grief were very realistic. It's a difficult step to learn to enjoy life again after the death of a spouse. I also enjoyed the people of the town who all worked together to make Harper feel accepted. I was pulling for a romance for Harper and Cam from the first time the met and definitely enjoyed their journey to love. show less

First time reading this series and didn’t feel like I missed anything as the past events are mentioned a bit in this book.
This story starts out with Mayor Megan and she's discussing Sam’s wedding as it’s soon when she gets a call that sends the Irish brothers to Chicago where Sean was trying a case.
Megan and Sean grew up side by side and were buddies til death do they part.
When she arrives at the hospital she lends her house to him while he recovers.
They show more always told each other of dates they had gone on and shared their secrets with one another.
She's got his back and he always has hers.
Story also focuses on Sean and his life and now that he is back, for the wedding he's getting feeling for Megan.
Story also follow Megan's father and the mother of of the bride as she's in town for a few weeks.
There is also romance from others in the family as well.
Love that it's an older crowd, not in 20s so a lot more resonates with me.
Love hearing of the town and how Megan can convince the residents about improvements they need to make.
Really great read. Excerpt from the next book in the series is included at the end.
Received this review copy from Tule Publishing and this is my honest opinion. show less

Bo takes a job as a horse trainer at a Montana ranch while he is recuperating from an injury. He's well known on the rodeo circuit not only as a great rider but also as someone who understands horses -- some people refer to him as a 'horse whisperer'. When he meets the people who are at the ranch to train their horses, he's surprised that one of them is Cassie -- his girlfriend from 5 years earlier. Cassie and Bo haven't spoken to each other in 5 years after a big breakup over trust issues. show more Cassie has a new horse and hopes to get it trained so she can rebuild her career on the rodeo circuit. Bo and Cassie immediately clash but agree to try to work together. Even though they both distrust the other and don't want to work together at first, there is a strong undercurrent of lust between them. Will they be able to work together to train the horses and will they get their happily ever after and find trust again?
I enjoyed the characters in this book and loved the second chance romance between Bo and Cassie. Also enjoyed catching up with Beth and Del from the first book in the series. I enjoy reading an occasional light romance and look forward to future books in this series. show less
