I enjoyed this quick read book, which I read for the Women's AdventureTravel Book Club on Facebook. The author, Jill Paris, would be fun to travel with, I think, except I couldn't keep up with her drinking, lol! She always seems to find adventures on her travels and meets and makes friends easily. I admire her spirit for just deciding to take a trip somewhere and then just going! Her writing style is very engaging and made me feel like I could see what her words described. She made me laugh, show more too, especially on one of her trips to Africa. I recommend this book , especially if you like travel adventure, which is one of my favorite genres. I wish I was her personal friend. Oh, and I could really relate to her melanoma "battle," as I am a breast cancer survivor myself. show less

The poems are arranged in a fluid way and almost every one reminded me of something in my own life that I could relate to. The book is put together so nicely - the cover, the pages, the small illustrations working perfectly with the chapters. The poem on grief touched me the most and I have read many over and over.
