A fairly good book about using the statistical program R to analyze baseball data from various sources. It's more for a baseball fan wanting to use R (as compared to an R user who wants to use it for baseball) since few baseball terms are defined. There are partial scripts that show a lot of different ways to use data -- histograms, charts, linear models, and pictorial representations.
Although there is a web site for this book, there is no errata page to be found there; there are several show more errors throughout throughout the book (not even including the authors' apparent snub against the 2007 Red Sox, as they have Colorado winning that World Series several times in Chapter 2 and in the code that can be downloaded from the authors' own GitHub repository). I'm also a bit confused by the chapter-ending "Exercises" -- they sometimes veer from the sample code that is given in the book, and there's no trace of any "answers" in print or online to help you work through them (there aren't even any hints anywhere).
