Jinnifer Blue is a rich girl who decided that she wanted a life of her own, so she left home and got the modifications she needed to pilot spacecraft and now she apprehends criminals on behalf of the government and keeps her bonus modifications secret. When she meets up with a pirate that she met earlier in her career and ends up in the same prison, her life is about to change and in ways she never expected.
Her mother is a piece of work... It was a fun read and I'm curious what's going to show more happen next, the author fell a bit between two stools about the romance; it felt like I wanted more about how they felt about each other, rather than them just wanting to bone. But I'm curious to see how things progress. show less

Instead of a leggy self-confident woman the female lead is rather bookish and rather introverted who has a secret. This woman embarks onto a journey by means of a challenge, which is a really unique premise for this book; however, she needs a muse and so begins this little erotic literary marvel.
The characters are well written in this novella and I can truly identify with Amy. I don’t want to give too much away but there are a couple of twists on the way, one of which makes the reader go show more ‘Ohhhhhh’.
This book has all the right ingredients in the right places. It’s a quick, hot read that I can heartedly recommend.
Full Disclosure: ARC received from Netgalley for an honest review. show less

Jinnifer Blue's mum has captured her and is determined to turn her into a weapon, only Jinnifer wakes up and is determined to thwart her at every turn. She's also determined to rescue Caspian Dax who is being forced to fight in an arena and is losing his humanity one fight at a time. Also Eve has been kidnapped.
There's a lot going on and a pretty high body count. Ferona is a nasty vicious piece of work. I'm looking forward to reading the resolution of this series.

I read this book as an electronic advanced reading copy provided by NetGalley, and I have submitted my comments to the publisher via that web site.
The kinks here are exhibitionism and voyeurism, and the sex is very hot. The narrator, Tasha, is likeable: she is strong, talented, and feminist while showing her vulnerabilities. I also liked that the author barely describes Tasha's physical appearance, which actually makes her more relatable to the reader (we can imagine she resembles us). Her show more partner, Ethan, is magnetic and attractive--especially if you like red headed men, like I do!
My only issue with this book is a big one: unsafe sex. The conversation about sexual health is perfunctory and stupid ("I'm clean..."), especially because one of the partners alludes to swinging later. show less
