I love ALL things Autumn, pumpkin spice, crunchy leaves, the smell of woodsmoke and big chunky knit jumpers. Halloween is my most favourite season and my spirit creature is the pumpkin.
When I'm not working, I'm usually making 3D models characters, creating fan art for my favourite TV shows and films, baking (and eating) and watching Pixar documentaries.
I was born in Essex in 1988 and now I live in London as a fully-fledged grown up (sort of). I studied illustration at University College Falmouth and graduated with a First Class degree in 2010. Since then I have been lucky enough to work with many UK and US publishers on some wonderful books. - Nationality

Spooky and funny with appealing art, this one is a great pick for both older elementary reluctant readers that don’t want babyish books and early readers that aren’t quite ready for middle grade themes.
My kids enjoyed it but I found the rainbow grey series much more entertaining- this book needed more squashy
I have no idea if this is a TV show or not, but it would work really well as one. It’s a short scholastic book with short “cartoon” stories. They revolve around an evil emperor penguin and his minions Eugune the loveable abominable snowman and Number 8 the octopus. It feels very much like Pinky and the Brain with an evil mastermind who is never as evil as he sets out to be. And there is a mustache cat to up the cuteness level and be an evil nemesis. This would be a great book for show more reluctant readers. The characters are likeable and the stories fun.

My local library has added a heap of new content to their elibrary and I've been taking advantage of this.
The Amelia Fang series is written for the younger audience of 9+. Typically, I stay away from vampire stories but decided to give this one a go to see what I thought.
I admit the story is fast-paced. However, the characters and storyline didn't appeal to me. Yet I believe the target audience will love the quirkiness and wit behind the main characters, as well as their crazy adventures.
I show more didn't dislike the book but I'm not eager to search out the remaining books in the series. show less
