This book is kind of different in that is covers a reincarnated Buddhist Lama and what that life is like. I have to say that I'm not that familiar with Tibetan Buddhist religious practices so this whole book was an education for me. I liked it. It was really a whole new ideological experience.
This book features a cover flap summary, language chart, an introductory letter, map, prologue, and photographs. It tells the story of Ling Rinpoche, believed to be the reincarnation of the previous person with the same name. This religious belief makes the way for the new little boy to be renamed and carefully raised to be a Lama, which is a Buddhist religious leader. The book leads me to more questions about the beliefs but the book alone could teach the issues related to governments show more forming unnatural borders and the problems the people will face as a result, cultural tolerance, respect for others, social studies, etc...
