Very good book. I liked both Miranda and Tyler. Miranda is tired of having to live up to the public expectations of being the mayor's daughter, and even more tired of her parents' expectations. She has been spending an increasing amount of time ditching her security detail so that she can feel normal. When she is saved from a potential bad situation by a mysterious and very hot guy she spends some serious time fantasizing about him. Then she finds out that he's the new head of her security show more detail and a real stickler about it too.

At first Miranda seemed a bit on the spoiled side, but I quickly saw that she was kind of stuck. She really does love her family and wants to help her father with his campaign. But she is also tired of not having a life of her own. She attends so many events, but it's obvious that the ones she likes best are the ones that allow her to get close to people. I loved the scene of her coloring with the little girl in the classroom. Her physical attraction to Tyler was exciting to her but also scary because it was so intense. As they spent so much time together she began to see more than the rigid bodyguard. She also saw a man who was fighting his own demons. I loved seeing her confusion when she met Tyler's family and how their closeness affected her.

Tyler was not happy to be assigned to bodyguard duty. He is a narcotics cop but has been a bit of a loose cannon on his latest case, so his bosses have reassigned him for awhile. Having spent so much time dealing with the dregs of society he tends to see the dark side of what could happen when Miranda takes off. At their initial meeting his attraction to her warns him that he's going to have his hands full. Trying to keep her under control turns out to be extremely difficult. I did like the way that he realized pretty quickly that just laying out the rules wasn't going to work for her, that explanations of why would go a lot further. He had some dark memories that were making it difficult for him to think that there was any chance of them being together. I liked the way that he was able to open up somewhat with her but his holding back showed he still had a ways to go. He was also able to see her vulnerabilities and wanted to do something to help her. I loved the ending when she forced her way into his hospital room and then later when she confronted him.

I really enjoyed their interactions. The conversations between them were fast paced and could get very intense very fast. I also liked seeing two of the other Brannigan siblings.

THE FIREFIGHTER’S CHOSEN BRIDE was amazing, moving, spirited, and the two main characters Finn McNeill and Shane Dwyer just “jumped” off the page and grabbed your attention immediately.

Everyone who reads this will fall in love with Shane……he’s handsome, sensitive, funny, generous and sexy as sin. He considers the men he works with his family and knows that his best friend’s sister, Finn McNeill is off limits. However fate has other ideas for these two and when they are show more literally thrown together, just sit back and enjoy the ride and their story.

Finn McNeill has a secret….she’s always had a crush on Shane but because of his occupation she shies away from him. You’ll learn she lost her dad at a young age, as a firefighter he passed away in a fire. You heart goes out to her as she struggles with these deep feelings and her love and attraction for Shane. It’s very powerful and moving. As Trish states, “When you love someone it's a risk. It always is. But that's just life. You’re the one who has to make the choice and live it." Personally, I took that risk and married a firefighter and I cherish those memories along with him and our children.

This particular book meant a lot to me as my husband was a firefighter for over twenty years and Trish has portrayed the profession and the brave men who choose it in an honest, honourable and believable way. This author has obviously done her research and it showed in this book especially what it means to the man, to the woman he loves, his family and friends. It is a brotherhood of amazing men and women and I thank this author for this amazing story.

Cassidy Malone and Will Ryan have to co-write a script together for a Hollywood film. They wrote a film script many years ago and since they are under contract they are obligated to write the sequel. They were lovers back then but they eventually broke up. (Will went to Hollywood and he now has his own production company, he has been nominated for awards. Cassidy stayed in Ireland and became a schoolteacher and hasn't written since then.) Now that they are together again they are noticing show more changes between themselves, but the old attraction is still there.

This book started off slow at first and I got a bit tired of the heroine's inner dialogue with herself (always putting herself down, low self-esteem) but the book improved halfway through. I did enjoy the Hollywood setting. I liked when Will took Cassidy on a tour of the film studio. I also liked Will's actress friend Angelique Warden and how kind she was to Cassidy.

Trish Wylie has penned an incredible romantic, sensual and sizzling love story in His Mistress, His Terms. The chemistry, the banter, the relationship itself will knock your socks off! Put that together with the story being set in Dublin, a fiery redheaded designer and a cool and confident architect who one weekend months ago, fell into each others arms for a night of passion. When they meet up again, it’s to work together on a rock star’s Dublin hotel. From start to finish this romantic show more dance, their ups and downs, their getting to know each other and take their relationship to the next level is one you will not want to miss!

Merrow is a free spirit, she’s lovely, confident and funny and she remembers her weekend of passion when she met Alex at a festival and spent one of the most memorable weekends of her life. She is now faced seeing him again and when he offers her a job, she actually believes she can put her past behind her and work with Alex professionally.

Alex, is handsome, hard working but he comes with some baggage’ his family is high society. His wealth and family don’t bother him as he’s always worked for everything he’s achieved; he’s pushed himself every step of the way. His family background bothers Merrow as she comes from a very unusual background and knows this relationship can go no where.

It’s a wonderful story of cat and mouse, exceptional I would say and I congratulate Trish Wylie for this glorious, sexy and very entertaining “fairy like” tale. With it being Mills and Boon’s 100th anniversary, this book makes the celebration even more special!
