The first half of the book is a very readable and enjoyable look at Weaver’s life from his childhood of yearly travels to California to pick fruit and vegetables to his roles in films and television. A very small amount of the book is devoted to his stint on Gunsmoke. The second half of the book is Weaver’s philosophy of life including ecolonomics, reincarnation, heaven, and hell, etc. I was not expecting this and while I have to agree with many of Weaver’s beliefs, I did not read this show more part as closely as the first half of the book. show less
