Rubyellen Bratcher had really thought of everything- and everyone, when she wrote Let's Sew Together.
If there ever was a book that matched their book description perfectly it would be this one. There really are simple projects for the WHOLE family included in this book! There are projects listed for tots to do that require no sewing as well as, sewing introduction projects for young kids, like sewing cards.
I don't sew and don't consider myself very crafty but I want to learn. show more I had hopes that this book truly was a book for the whole family and I could learn along with my children while having fun together. That seems to be a tall order these days. Most sewing and crafting books that say they are for beginners or are for the WHOLE family are not, but this one sure is. I was so excited to go through project after project in this book and plot out little projects to do with my children and hopefully learn something myself.
I feel like I hit the jackpot with this little gem. The pictures in this book are amazing and the fabric choices are very cute boutique style.
You can tell Rubyellen put her heart and soul into this book. She really seems to understand the struggle of raising a family and having the desire to have cute handmade crafts, toys, and/or clothes without the high boutique prices; She appreciates the art of handmade and the beauty and charm of the slightly uneven stitch.
