A human child, Mowgli, knows nothing of the world of men. He lives in the jungle of Southern India and hunts with his brothers the wolves. Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther are his friends and teachers, and Shere Khan, the man-eating tiger, is his enemy. He comes to know songs of birds and sounds of stream, and fight against Shere Khan...
This story was very exciting for me, and it sometimes frightened me or sometimes encouraged me. Living in the jungle, Mowgli comes to know the show more importance of friendship, strength and fortitude, and that really impressed me. I want to choose my way of life, like brave Mowgli. show less

This book is about the advnture of a boy, Mowgil, who was raised by wolves and other animal friends. After he got separated from his parents in the jungle when he was only a small child, he met his new family and grew up to be a tough boy, learning the Law if the Jungle, as a member of the animals. He was just like a wolf, but actually he was a man, so he had to made a choice between those two lives. Furthermore, a big shadow was staring at him with its fierce eyes.
Though I've ever read or show more watched some stories about people who raised up among the animals like this boy did, this time I felt kind of fresh. That's because this story mainly describes the animal's society, for example, their relationships and law. Their world was very lively enough to fascinate even me, so I thought it was much more for him, who didn't forget "who" he was and the world to return completely. For such an imagination, I was touched more by his decision. show less

In the jungle of Sothern India most animals follow the Law of jungle. One day a man-cub joins Wolf-Pack. Good animals help and raise him. But bad ones bring troubles.
Good animals are kind, cool and clever. Their cooperation is wonderful. And their law is interesting. But I thought this book's point of view is humans' one. I don't think men are so great.

I have watched this story's disney animation when I was little, but I almost forgot. So I was little surprise to the plot of this story. I didn't memorize that this story is a revenge tragedy. Apart from the plot, the content of this story is show more interesting. show less
