If you can't beat 'em, fall vastly short and undercut 'em.

There is only one quality concordance to the Septuagint (Greek Old Testament), that of Hatch & Redpath. It is complete, and it even compares the Greek with the Hebrew. If you are serious about Septuagint studies, you either have it or you need to get it. That's all that needs to be said.

But Hatch & Redpath is expensive, even today with the copyright expired. Hence this book. It's small, it doesn't have the full list of words or the show more Hebrew (and it isn't nearly as complete in variant readings as it claims). It doesn't give word contexts, either, just words. The only possible advantage it has over Hatch & Redpath is that you won't get arm strain carrying it.

Plus, of course, price. You can get this for a few dollars. Probably, though, you won't find it worth it. If you are serious, you'll eventually move up to Hatch & Redpath, which means you'll have wasted money on this book. And if you aren't serious, then you won't use this volume, and you'll again have wasted money. Go for the good stuff, or don't bother. show less
