It is a wonderful book and has great instructions, pictures and diagrams. However it only teaches the Torchon style of bobbin lace. The difference is Torchon works on a diagonal grid adding fibers when starting the piece. This can be easily be seen in the bookmark lessons. The projects are great, Spring purse, Summer scarf, Summer bag, Autumn cushion, Winter scarf. Slim and rather pricey paperback booklet (currently about $23), giving an overview of a wide variety of techniques, including buttonhole loops, cutwork, reticella, plaited bobbin lace, lacis (net darning), lucet. Some prickings for bobbin lace; clear diagrams. Appears to be a reprint of 1995 Elviston Press edition.
