This book does a beautiful job explaining the life of Lewis Latimer. The illustrations are very engaging and the book takes the reader along an adventure of understanding various parts of Latimer's life, including how he grew up, some of his early inventions, as well as his involvement with electricity.
The art and text clearly communicates the subject's life story through a detailed and organized timeline. The book discusses many experiences and accomplishments concerning Lewis Latimer.
Joan Sheen Cunningham is niece of Fulton Sheen, who became a second father, a role model, and a lifelong friend to her.
