Popcorn by Alex Moran is a book about just that popcorn. The animals and the kids have big jars of popcorn kennels. They put the kennels in a pot and start to cook it. They keep adding more kennels to the pot. The popcorn starts popping out of control. They are trying to catch it all but it’s coming out of the door. They finally get all the popcorn in bowls to eat and enjoy.

This was a funny book to read to my kids. My husband read this book to my little girls. After they read it they go show more into the kitchen and make popcorn. They always make too much. We have popcorn on the counters.

You could use this book for a unit on popcorn, corn as well as food. You could make popcorn with your students and turn it into art project. You could also use this book when talking about going to the movies.
