Jay Leno wrote a funny story about Dad’s projects. It’s a home run, in my opinion! This story even compares two cultures, to a degree, Italians and Scots. My three year old granddaughter found it funny, as did I.
This autobiography is a quick, easy read. It is sectioned off into paragraph-length remembrances, vignettes that read like on-stage jokes. Many evoke a chuckle, some a hilarious. These are mostly about life on the road in the clubs and among the rising stars and tragic ones. There is a lot about Jay's nonplussed Old World parents and life with his wife. The book goes up to him taking over The Tonight Show.
An entire book (biig book!) full of humorous, real headlines. An impulse-buy. That I liked a LOT more then I thought I would. Turn to any page in the book, there will be something to make you laugh. Some headlines are crazier then others, but even the semi-normal ones can make you laugh when combined with Leno's comments. His own comment accompanies almost every headline, which definitely adds to the funny.
I read this a while back (I am just adding it here now), but every so often I pick it up to read over again. The headlines are still funny, even if a couple are a bit dated. Overall, very easy and amusing series of books.
