A movie soundtrack featuring original songs, including Eminem's "Lose Yourself."

2.5/4 (Okay).

I would say it's a really good album, except a couple tracks' overtly hateful misogynistic and homophobic lyrics bring it down a few points.
I'm not quite sure what I expected out of this book. I used to LOVE Eminem and not that I don't like him now but I'm not really into rap like I used to be. So for me reading this took me back to the time when I was into all of that stuff.

I think the book was fairly well written. Being a rapper it seems obvious that Eminem has a way with words, but the way he says things is so simple. He doesn't sugar coat or try to play around the issue. He says what he needs to say and that's it.

One thing I show more really liked about this book was it made him seem human. Underneath all of the bad boy image there's a man that is just like any other man you may know. Trying to be a good father, and living a real life. I think that being the star that he is people seem to forget that he's just a normal guy who happened to make it. I think this book did a real good job of making that point.

Overall I was pretty happy with the book. It was a quick read, and it wasn't confusing. I hate books that jump all over the place all the time and this was very linear. So not the best book I've ever read, but no where close to the worst either.

Eminem is so private. This is stories from him after Proof's death so it's gold. Actual stories from the man.

To start this review I am a fan of Eminem main reason this man had nothing to begin with, he had a real shitty childhood, but stood up and never let go of his dreams. He written so many songs that I can relate to. I do not always listen to his songs – but if I do my life is in a real mess!

Have you EVER read a book that you were so ANGRY that you started shaking and wanted to CRY well this is while I reading an Biography?

Eminem is a prodigy, and all his songs relate to a part of him or show more where he came from and what happened in his life
A little bit about his life!

1972–91: Early life
Mathers was born on October 17, 1972, in St. Joseph, Missouri. He is the only child of Marshall Bruce Mathers, Jr. (born June 30, 1951, and known as Bruce) and Deborah Rae Nelson (born January 6, 1955, and known as Debbie).[4][5][6] Eminem is of English, German, Scottish and Swiss descent.[7] Debbie was 14 when she met 18-year-old Bruce;[6] at age 17, she nearly died during her 73-hour labor.[8] Eminem's parents were in a band called Daddy Warbucks, playing in Ramada Inns along the Dakotas-Montana border before their separation. Bruce left the family, moving to California[9] and having two other children: Michael and Sarah (born c. 1982).[10] Debbie later had a son, Nathan Kane Samara, born February 3, 1986 also known as Nate.[6] During his childhood Eminem and Debbie shuttled between Missouri and Michigan, rarely staying in one house for more than a year or two and living primarily with family members. In Missouri they lived in several places, including Saint Joseph, Savannah and Kansas City.[11][12] As a teenager, Eminem wrote letters to his father; according to Debbie, all came back marked "Return to sender."[9] Friends and family remember Eminem as a happy child, but "a bit of a loner" who was often bullied. One bully, De'Angelo Bailey, severely injured Eminem in the head; Debbie Nelson filed a lawsuit against the school in 1982, which was dismissed the following year.

The life story is perfect. And I loved to read something about one of my favorite rappers ever when I read about his childhood I was like this

I think this is some kind of poison

He portraits it in all his songs how he hated his childhood even created a song just for his mother
Eminem - Cleanin' Out My Closet

My angry songs - When I had a real shit day at work (I can watch YOUTUBE Videos for hours and hours)
Eminem - Without Me
Love the Countdown and the video
Eminem - Not Afraid
Love the video
Eminem - The Real Slim Shady
Just so funny that he actually is not crazy but like everyone to think he is

Eminem - Still Don't Give A Fuck
This one just gives me a kick somedays after work - the environment I work in sometimes need me blow off steam!!! Before I arrive at home, AND before I face my family members and FRIENDS!

.This is where my review is for one of the biggest Rappers in history!
