Gary Eve (Christensen) Wallinga have enjoyed Minnesota's North Shore and explored its waterfalls with their two children for over 20 years. Environmental activists from St. Cloud, Minnesota, they have worked on open space acquisition, endangered habitat preservation, and the development of St. show more Cloud's Environmentally Sensitive Areas Ordinance. They helped found the Sierra Clup-Big River Group, the Central Minnesota Chapter of the Minnesota Land Trust, and the Natural Parks and Trails Coalition of the St. Cloud Area. My husband and I sampled some of locations described in this book during a long weekend along Minnesota's North Shore. We found the trails to be accurately described for difficulty and location. Although we frequently visit the North Shore, we were introduced to some previously unknown and unsuspected locations through use of this book. The illustrations and maps help you determine whether to make a trip to see each location.
