Frankie Hucklenbroich

This is a fascinating memoir of love, lust, drug addiction, and butch/femme relations from a butch's point of view. I found Frankie utterly charming, much like she finds herself. Well worth reading for a glimpse of the GLBT past.

Don’t you know – and the mad lights I’d get to know so well were dancing in her eyes even in that dark place – that honesty is just another word for a certain subtle ignorance.

One time she told me her power over me is that she’s so weak it makes her stronger than I am. I tripped on that for days.
