All the characters are believable and mostly distinct in character, and we were quickly drawn into the story. While it’s only loosely based on what’s known about Jane Austen’s life, it feels authentic, and entirely possible.

Some excellent acting, including a cameo role for Maggie Smith, and overall we thought it well worth watching.
This is such a great little film. It's funny but with a heart too. Am going to see the stage show this year so wanted to remind myself of the story.
