Kaye Patchett

At age 65, Laura Ingalls Wilder began writing children's books; Little House in the Big Woods was the first book of her famous Little House series. Her books have been translated into over 40 languages and have earned many honors and awards. They have sold 60 million copies worldwide. Laura's parents moved frequently. She lived in Wisconsin, Kansas, Iowa, and Minnesota. Many of these trips were made by covered wagon.
