A good introductory how to for food storage. Ideas on how to (safely) store food, how to rotate food and many recipes using food storage/dried goods. Charts you can fill in to track your food usage to figure out how much you can store. How much and what you store is left up to you based on your food usage during the week or so you choose to track. A bit more direct direction in that area would have been appreciated, but nonetheless a very useful book for beginners.

This little book holds the recipe for Funeral Potatoes, a most excellent dish that has come to be prepared for almost every funeral luncheon I've been to in the last 15 years. Everyone wants the recipe. I have seen it duplicated in more than one magazine lately under other names, but it is the same. They are a Utah dish, evidenced by the Olympics pins sold in their honor in Salt Lake City during the Winter Onlympics of 2002. You could also buy green JELLO pins then. But, back to this book... show more All the recipes are for potatoes or sweet potatoes and they all sound delicious. You get what you pay for here, not a lot of filler recipes for other things you weren't looking for. show less
