- Anne V. Coates was an award-winning film editor with a long and notable career. She first trained as a surgical nurse in a center that specialised in plastic surgery, mainly on wounded veterans and children hurt by bombs. When she decided to work in another field, she decided on the making of films. Her first job was in the religious-films branch of her uncle's company. Her first film production job was as an assistant on The Red Shoes; her first editing job was on The Pickwick Papers. She moved to the US in 1986 and into digital editing with 1995's Congo, working in the field for over sixty years.
