Personal Views:
I think that this book does a great job informing children about a different culture that is present in the United States today. I think that the book is well written and allows readers to see how Cherokees lived and what they wore in the photos and illustrations.
Extensions:
1. Have the children do some research on the house that they Cherokee lived in when English settlers first arrived and have them make a small model of them.
2.Take vocabulary from the book. show less
